Tanto buenrollismo me da mal pálpito. Sólo eso. Mal pálpito. ¿Esperanza? Mientras tanto, buena música: Anthem For A Seventeen Year Old Girl, de Broken Social Scene.

Se llama Sleeping In, de The Postal Service.

Last week i had the strangest dream
Where everything was exactly how it seemed
Where there was never any mystery on who shot john f kennedy
It was just a man with something to prove
Slightly bored and severely confused
He steadied his rifle with his target in the center
And became famous on that day in november

Dont wake me i plan on sleeping
Dont wake me i plan on sleeping in
Dont wake me i plan on sleeping
Dont wake me i plan on sleeping in

And then last night i had that strange dream
Where everything was exactly how it seemed
Where concerns about the world getting warmer
The people thought they were just being rewarded
For treating others as they like to be treated
For obeying stop signs and curing diseases
For mailing letters with the address of the sender
Now we can swim any day in november

Dont wake me i plan on sleeping
(now we can swim any day in november)
Dont wake me i plan on sleeping in
Dont wake me i plan on sleeping
Dont wake me i plan on sleeping in

Dont wake me i plan on sleeping in
Dont wake me i plan on sleeping
OOo oOo oOo

Your belly in my arms, The Felice Brothers

Your belly in my arms, The Felice Brothers

We’d watch the shapes the rain would make falling down the window of our bus

I said they reminded me of paper ponies blowing free

You said they reminded you of us

Your belly in my arms. Tomorrow we’ll be through these rains and gone

Woke up with the driver crying
Birmingham

Looked through the glass and found the morning sky

I said that cloud’s shaped like a burning man, you didn’t have the heart to tell me why

Your belly in my arms. Tomorrow we’ll be through these clouds and gone

I put my hand inside your skirt and asked if you thought that our baby’s life would turn out this way

You said you wasn’t sure

But really you was too good to say it

Your belly in my arms. Tomorrow we’ll be through these rains and gone

Your belly in my arms. Tomorrow we’ll be through these gates and gone

Something Stupid, Frank Sinatra

Something Stupid, Frank Sinatra

I know I stand in line, until you think you have the time
To spend an evening with me
And if we go someplace to dance, I know that theres a chance
You wont be leaving with me

And afterwards we drop into a quiet little place
And have a drink or two
And then I go and spoil it all, by saying something stupid
Like: I love you

I can see it in your eyes, that you despise the same old lies
You heard the night before
And though its just a line to you, for me its true
It never seemed so right before

I practice every day to find some clever lines to say
To make the meaning come through
But then I think Ill wait until the evening gets late
And Im alone with you

The time is right your perfume fills my head, the stars get red
And oh the nights so blue
And then I go and spoil it all, by saying something stupid
Like: I love you
(I love you, I love you,...)

I Am Six Pounds Of Dynamite, South San Gabriel

I Am Six Pounds Of Dynamite, South San Gabriel

Se llama I Am Six Pounds of Dynamite. Está en un disco muy curioso, pintón, interesante: The Carlton Chronicles: Not Until the Operation's Through.

Cuidaros mucho

http://www.centro-matic.com/audio/SSG_IAmSixPoundsOfDynamite.mp3

Now I, I'm living locked outside

Sans opposable thumbs

So all I'll do is cry

And you, you said I can't behave

Forgot how to obey

My joke turned to a fight

So it stands, I might scratch through the side

And don't you think I can't

I am six pounds of dynamite!

But wait, I'll stay out for the night

Bid farewell to Ramon

And plan my distant flight

Goodbye

It's time to say goodbye

Ahora, secaros las lágrimas. Abrazos a todos

Blog Dylan

Menos mal que me he librado.

En At Budokan descubrí una gran versión de I Want You.

- One Of Us Must Know, del Blonde on Blonde

- Most Of The Time, también de Oh Mercy

- Wedding Song, del Planet Waves

- Blood In My Eyes, del World Gone Wrong

- Baby, Stop Crying, del Street Legal

- Nettie Moore, de Modern Times, el último

- Black Diamond Bay, de Desire

- You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go, de Blood On The Tracks

- Not Dark Yet, de Time Out Of Mind

- Tonight I'll Be Standing Here With You, de Nashville Skyline

- Dignity, en MTV Unplugged

- Mississippi, de Love & Theft

I Go To The Barn Because I Like, Band of Horses

I Go To The Barn Because I Like, Band of Horses La vida debería tener banda sonora automática.

Well i'd like to think i'm the mess you'd wear with pride.
like some empty dress on the bed you've layed out for tonight.
maybe i'll tell you sometime.

time.sometime.

and you were right.

right.

you were right
outside by your doorstep
in a worn out suit and tie
i'll wait
for you to come down
where you'll find me
where we'll shine

oh

Southern Anthem, Iron & Wine

Southern Anthem, Iron & Wine

Just like the way that you ran to wine
When they made the new milk turn
Jesus a friend in the better times
Let your mother's Bible burn
Freedom a fever you suffered through
And the dog drank from your cup
Frozen the river that baptized you
And the horse died standing up

But when a southern anthem rings
She will buckle to that sound
When that southern anthem sings
It will lay her burdens down

Just like the way that you lost your guns
When they cut the clothesline loose
Jesus a friend of the weaker ones
Said "I'm all they stole from you"
Freedom a thistle that withered dry
Still a baby in your hands
Frozen the ground refused to die
And the guitar rose again

But when a southern anthem rings
She will buckle to that sound
When that southern anthem sings
It will lay her burdens down

1.- Greenville, Lucinda Williams/Emmylou Harris (Car Wheels on a Gravel Road)

2.- Call me on your way back home, Ryan Adams (Heartbreaker)

3.- Sunken Treasure, Wilco (Being There)

4.- I Drink, Mary Gauthier (Mercy Now)

5.- Sweetest Decline, Beth Orton (Central Reservation)

6.- Sarah, Bob Dylan (Desire)

7.- Two Different Things, Thad Cockrell/Caitlin Cary (Begonias)

8.- Dead Man's Will, Calexico/Iron & Wine (In The Reins)

Sixteen military wives
Thirty-two softly focused brightly colored eyes
Staring at the natural tan
Of thirty-two gently clenching wrinkled little hands
Seventeen company men
Out of which only twelve will make it back again
Seargeant sent a letter to five
Military wives, his tears drip down to ten little eye

Cheer them on to their rivals
Cause America can, and America can't say no
And America does, if America says it's so
It's so

And the anchorperson on TV goes...
La de da de da

Fifteen celebrity mimes
Leaving their fifteen sorted wretched checkered lives
Will they find the solution in time
Using their fifteen pristine moderate liberal minds?

Eighteen academy chairs
Out of which only seven really even care
Doling out a garment to five
Celebrity mimes, they're humbly taken by surprise

Cheer them on to their rivals
Cause America can, and America can't say no
And America does, if America says it's so
It's so

And the anchorperson on TV goes...
La de da de da de-dadedade-da
La de da de da de-dadedade-da

Fourteen cannibal kings
Wondering blindly what the dinner bell will bring
Fifteen celebrity mimes
Served on a leafy bed th sixteen military wives

Cheer them on to their rivals
Cause America can, and America can't say no
And America does, if America says it's so
It's so

And the anchorperson on TV goes...
La de da de da de-dadedade-da
La de da de da de-dadedade-da

Fight Test

Fight Test

I thought I was smart
I thought I was right
I thought it better not to fight
I thought there was a virtue, in always being cool
So it came time to fight
I thought "I'll just step aside"
And that the time will prove you wrong
And that you would be a fool
I don't know where the sunbeams end
And the starlight begins
It's all a mystery
Oh. To fight is to defend
If it's not now then tell me when
Would be the time
That you would stand up and be a man
For to lose I could accept
But to surrender I just wept
And regretted this moment
oh that
I was the fool
I don't know where the sunbeams end
And the starlight begins
It's all a mystery
And I don't know how a man decides
What's right for his own life
It's all a mystery
'Cause I'm a man, not a boy
And there are things you can't avoid
You have to face them
When you're not prepared to face them
If I could I would
But you're with him, now it'd do no good
I should've fought him
But instead I let him
I let him take it

**Es Fight Test, de The Flaming Lips. La primera de Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots. Mucha suerte a todos con vuestros exámenes**

Chinese Translation, M. Ward

I sailed a wild, wild sea
climbed up a tall, tall mountain
I met a old, old man
beneath a weeping willow tree
He said now if you got some questions
go and lay them at my feet
but my time here is brief
so you'll have to pick just three

And I said
What do you do with the pieces of a broken heart
and how can a man like me remain in the light
and if life is really as short as they say
then why is the night so long
and then the sun went down
and he sang for me this song

See I once was a young fool like you
afraid to do the things
that I knew I had to do
So I played an escapade just like you
I played an escapade just like you
I sailed a wild, wild sea
climbed up a tall, tall mountain
I met an old, old man
he sat beneath a sapling tree
He said now if you got some questions
go and lay them at my feet
but my time here is brief
so you'll have to pick just three

And I said
What do you do with the pieces of a broken heart
and how can a man like me remain in the light
and if life is really as short as they say
then why is the night so long
and then the sun went down
and he played for me this song

Outfit, Drive-By Truckers

Outfit, Drive-By Truckers

You want to grow up to paint houses like me, a trailer in my yard till you're 23
You want to be old after 42 years, keep dropping the hammer and grinding the gears

Well, I used to go out in a Mustang, a 302 Mach One in green.
Me and your Mama made you in the back and I sold it to buy her a ring.
And I learned not to say much of nothing and I figured you already know
but in case you don’t or maybe forgot, I’ll lay it out real nice and slow

Don’t call what your wearing an outfit. Don’t ever say your car is broke.
Don’t worry about losing your accent, a Southern Man tells better jokes.
Have fun but stay clear of the needle. Call home on your sister’s birthday.
Don’t tell them you’re bigger than Jesus, don’t give it away.

Six months in a St. Florian foundry, they call it Industrial Park.
Then hospital maintenance and Tech School just to memorize Frigidaire parts.
But I got to missing your Mama and I got to missing you too.
So I went back to painting for my old man and I guess that’s what I’ll always do

So don’t try to change who you are boy, and don’t try to be who you ain’t.
And don’t let me catch you in Kendale with a bucket of wealthy-man’s paint.

Don’t call what your wearing an outfit. Don’t ever say your car is broke.
Don’t sing with a fake British accent. Don’t act like your family’s a joke.
Have fun, but stay clear of the needle, call home on your sister’s birthday.
Don’t tell them you’re bigger than Jesus, Don’t give it away.

Don’t give it away

In The Devil's Territory, Sufjan Stevens

In The Devil's Territory, Sufjan Stevens

In The Devil's Territory aparece en Seven Swans, de Sufjan Stevens.

Be still and know your sign.
The beast will arrive in time.
We stayed a long, long time.
We stayed a long, long time.
To see you, to beat you,
to see you at last.

I saw the dragons drying.
I saw the witches whine.
We stayed a long, long time.
But I'm not afraid to die.
To see you, to meet you,
to see you at last.

I stole my father's shoes.
I pulled his pockets too.
We stayed a long, long time.
We stayed a long, long time.
To see you, to beat you,
to see you, to meet you.
To see you at last.

It's Summertime, The Flaming Lips

It's Summertime, The Flaming Lips

El verano se carga nuestras neuronas. Fijo.

It's summertime - and I can understand if you
Still feel - sad -
It's summertime and though it's hard to see its true
possibilities -

When you look inside - all you'll see
When you look inside - all you'll see
Is a self-reflected inner sadness -
Look outside - I know that you'll
Recognize it's summertime

Now I’ve heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don’t really care for music, do you?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you
To a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

You say I took the name in vain
I don’t even know the name
But if I did, well really, what’s it to you?
There’s a blaze of light
In every word
It doesn’t matter which you heard
The holy or the broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

I did my best, it wasn’t much
I couldn’t feel, so I tried to touch
I’ve told the truth, I didn’t come to fool you
And even though
It all went wrong
I’ll stand before the Lord of Song
With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Bad time, The Jayhawks

Bad time, The Jayhawks

Rapidito, que he quedado.

I'm in love with the girl that I'm talking about
I'm in love with the girl that I can't live without
I'm in love but I sure picked a bad time
to be in love, to be in love
let her be somebody else's
queen I don't want to hear about it
there's too many others who know what I mean and that's why I got to live without it

'cause I'm in love with the girl I'm talking about
I'm in love with the girl I can't live without
I'm in love but I feel like I'm living it out
I'm in love but I must have picked a bad time
to be in love
a bad time to be in love
a bad time to be in love
a bad time to be in love

all the stories coming back to me about my friends and the people
I don't want to see all the stories they just couldn't be true
at least not until I hear them from you

'cause I'm in love with the girl I'm talking about
I'm in love with the girl I can't live without
I'm in love but I feel like I'm living it out
I'm in love but I must have picked a bad time
to be in love
a bad time to be in love
a bad time to be in love
a bad time to be in love

'cause I'm in love with the girl I'm talking about
I'm in love with the girl I can't live without
I'm in love but I feel like I'm living it out
I'm in love but I must have picked a bad time
to be in love
a bad time to be in love
a bad time to be in love
a bad time to be in love
a bad time to be in love
(such a bad time)

One by one

One by one

One by one the teardrops fall as I write you
One by one my words come falling on the page
One by one my dreams are fading in the twilight
One by one my schemes are fading fast away

One by one the flowers fading in my garden
One by one the leaves are falling from the trees
One by one my hopes are vanished in the clouds clear
One by one like snowflakes melting in the breeze

One by one my hair is turning gray
One by one my dreams are fading fast away
One by one I read your letters over
One by one I lay them all away

One by one the days are slipping up behind you
One by one the sweetest days of life go by
One by one the moments stealing out behind you
One by one she’ll come and find not you or I

One by one I hear the soft words that you whispered
One by one I feel your kisses soft and sweet
One by one I hope you’ll say the words to marry
One by one to one by one forever be
